The Norwegian film industry is booming, and The Quake is the title of the second catastrophe movie created within the last years in the nation of vikings, snow, and more snow.
Maybe you thought Norwegians were born with skis at their feet. Well, it might be, but it seems as if they also have gotten some great skills at creating entertaining movies, at least some of the people of the nation.
A few years ago, The Snowman, a movie based on the book written by Jo Nesbo was filmed in Norway. Maybe it would have ended up better if it was made by actual Norwegians, because the international version was both lame and boring. The same is true about the Girl with the Tatooes. That isn’t a Norwegian production, but a Swedish. The original trilogy with the Swedish actors were way better than the international version that was created a few years later.
Luckily, The Quake is a Norwegian production, and it is made by the same people who created The Wave, the first out of the two catastrophe movies.
The first movie was about a giant wave that would show up if a piece of the mountain by Geiranger would fall into the fjord. If that would happen, a giant wave would turn the little village into a giant pool, and everything would be destroyed. You can guess for yourself what will happen in that movie?
The Quake was released in Norway in 2018, and we are happy to say that it will be made available on Hulu for online viewing already in April 2019. This is an awesome chance to stream more Scandinavian content online. If you want to stream other Scandinavian movies, make sure to watch the three Department Q movies available on Hulu, and also The Guilty. The latter is more of an art-movie, simply because we follow one character throughout the entire movie, and that is all we get to see.
And now, in April – it is time to find out what will happen if a giant earthquake hits the Norwegian capital Oslo. Can it actually happen? And who is out there to help the citizens if that is so? The hero from the first movie travels to Oslo in this movie, not only to help out in the big picture, but also to save his wife and kids who are living and working in the capital. And to make things really exciting, the wife of our hero seems to work in the tallest building in the center of Oslo.

It might be that most people look forward to the final season of Game of Thrones, but I am looking much more forward to the final chapter of the Avengers story. After watching Avengers: Infinity War, I simply cannot stop waiting for the final and last Avengers movie to be released. What will happen? Are all those people really dead? How can our super-heroes defeat the almighty Thanos will all power in his hands? I have no clue, but I hope it will be a long story lasting 2 1/2 – 3 hours (it probably will), and it will be packed with action, fantastic scenery, and some great treats happening that makes us all think – man, that was brilliant!
Maybe Dr. Strange had a reason to give away his time-stone to Thanos?
